MINUTES CITY OF CLEARLAKE CITY COUNCIL & REDEVELOPMENT SUCCESSOR AGENCY SPECIAL MEETING MARCH 6, 2014 CALL TO ORDER SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING: 4:03 P.M. Roll Call. Present: Denise Loustalot, Mayor Gina Fortino Dickson, Vice Mayor Joyce Overton, Councilmember Absent: Joey Luiz, Councilmember Jeri Spittler, Councilmember Staff: Joan Phillipe, City Manager Melissa Swanson, City Clerk BUSINESS 1. Report by City Manager and City Attorney on the Proposed General Sales Tax Measure Approved at the February 27th Meeting and the Ability to Have It on the June Ballot City Manager Phillipe gave a verbal staff report which stated, due to legal statute, the Council is unable to put a general sales tax measure on the June ballot. ACTION: It was the unanimous consensus of the Council to place a discussion of a sales tax measure for the November ballot on the March 13th agenda.
