MINUTES CITY OF CLEARLAKE CITY COUNCIL & REDEVELOPMENT SUCCESSOR AGENCY SPECIAL MEETING FEBRUARY 21, 2019 CALL TO ORDER SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL & REDEVELOPMENT SUCCESSOR AGENCY MEETING: 5:00 P.M. Roll Call. Council Present: Nick Bennett, Mayor Russ Cremer, Vice Mayor Phil Harris, Councilmember Dirk Slooten, Councilmember Absent: Joyce Overton, Councilmember Staff: Greg Folsom, City Manager Alan Flora, Assistant City Manager Andrew White, Chief of Police Melissa Swanson, Administrative Services Director/City Clerk Tim Hobbs, Police Lieutenant Doug Herren, Public Works Director Adeline Brown, Engineering Technician BUSINESS: 1. Award of Contract for Demolition of Structures Lt. Hobbs gave the staff report. Vice Mayor Cremer left the dais at 5:04 p.m. due to a conflict of interest. He owns property within 1000 feet of a property within the bid package. ACTION: It was moved by Councilmember Cremer and seconded by Councilmember Bennett to authorize the City Manager to execute a contract with Resource Environmental Inc. in the amount of $105,000 for the demolition of structures. The motion passed with a unanimous voice vote. Vice Mayor Cremer returned to the dais at 5:08 p.m. CLOSED SESSION: 2. PUBLIC EMPLOYMENT: Government Code Section 54957; Title: City Manager CCMin 02-21-19 Spl Page 1 of 2 Councilmember Overton arrived at 5:28 p.m. There was no reportable action taken in closed session.
