MINUTES REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY OF CLEVELAND BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS TUESDAY, JUNE 11, 2019 AT 12:00 PM CLEVELAND MUNICIPAL BUILDING 190 CHURCH STREET NE The regular meeting of the Board of Zoning Appeals was called to order by Charlotte Peak, Chairman, at 12:00 Noon. Members present included Charlotte Peak, Clint Taylor, Ed Brown and Dan Moore. Members absent included Ray Garner. Staff present included Corey Divel, Senior Planner. Legal Counsel present included John Kimball, Attorney for the City of Cleveland. Others present included Ben Berry, Dee Burris and Tony Caywood. The minutes of the May 14, 2019 regular meeting were presented for approval. Dan Moore made motion to approve and Clint Taylor seconded the motion. A vote of 4-0 passed the motion. There was no Public Hearings. There was no Old Business. In New Business, a. Request by Li Lian Dong for approval of a variance for property located on Lacy St NW (Tax Map 42B Group A Parcel 8.00). Property is zoned CH Commercial Highway Zoning District (pg1). Dan Moore made the motion to approve the request and Clint Taylor seconded the motion. A vote of 4-0 passed the motion. b. Request by Jiyana Corporation for approval of a variance and interpretation of the parking requirements for property located at 5200 North Lee Hwy (Tax Map 34 Parcel 25.01). Property is zoned CH Commercial Highway Zoning District (pg5). Clint Taylor made a motion to determine the parking requirement for the proposed use should be one (1) space per 250 square feet of building area consistent with the neighborhood commercial category in the parking matrix. Charlotte Peak seconded the motion. A vote of 4-0 passed the motion. Clint Taylor made a motion to approve a ten (10) feet side set back variance along the north property line. Charlotte Peak seconded the motion. Voting 4-0, the BZA approved the motion. There was no Staff Report. There was no Board Member Report. The meeting adjourned 12:14 P.M.
