MINUTES SPECIAL CALLED MEETING OF THE CITY OF CLEVELAND HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 29, 2015 AT 5:15 PM IN THE CLEVELAND MUNICIPAL BUILDING AT 190 CHURCH STREET NE The called Historic Preservation Meeting of September 29, 2015 was called to order at 5:20 P.M. by Maryl Elliott, Chairman. Members present included Maryl Elliott, Joan Benjamin, Sarah Coleman, Rufus Triplett and Phyllis Callaway. Members absent were Randy Wood. Staff present included Corey Divel, Senior Planner, Darla Jenkins, Administrative Assistant, Jonathan Jobe, Director of Development and Engineering Services, and Melinda Carroll, Assistant City Manager. No one else was present. No minutes were approved to this event being a called meeting. There were no Public Hearings. There was no Old Business. In New Business, a. Nathan Ridgeway requests a Certificate of Appropriateness for work at 435 8th St NW (Tax Map 49L Group Q Parcel 7.00). The property is zoned R1 Single Family Residential (pg1). Rufus Triplett made a motion to table discussion on this item until the next regular meeting as the applicant was not present at the special called meeting the applicant had requested. There will not be another special called meeting for this item. Joan Benjamin seconded the motion. Voting 5-0, the historic preservation commission approved the motion. Rufus Triplett requested the drawings would be required before the next meeting for commission members to review. There were no other Projects. In Board Members Reports,  Joan Benjamin requested information on the status of alternates and the replacement for Doug Caywood. Corey Divel stated the status was pending per the Mayor’s office. Joan Benjamin would like to submit Jane Easterly’s name for an alternate to the Historic Preservation Commission. The meeting adjourned at 5:21 P.M.
