MINUTES SPECIAL CALLED MEETING OF THE CITY OF CLEVELAND HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION THURSDAY, MARCH 10, 2016 AT 12:00 PM CLEVELAND MUNICIPAL BUILDING 190 CHURCH STREET NE The special called meeting of the Historic Preservation Commission was called to order by Maryl Elliott, Chairman, at 12:10 P.M. Members present included Maryl Elliott, Rufus Triplett, Randy Wood, Joan Benjamin, Phyllis Callaway and Sarah Coleman. Staff present included Corey Divel, Senior Planner, Janice Casteel, City Manager, Melinda Carroll, Assistant City Manager, Shawn McKay, Director of Finance/City Clerk, Darla Jenkins, Executive Secretary, and, Jonathan Jobe, Director of Development and Engineering Services. Others present included Joyanna Love of The Cleveland Daily Banner, Tucker Duncan and Amy Banks. There were no minutes to approve. There were no Public Hearings. There was no Old Business. In New Business, a. Byron Whittington requests a Certificate of Appropriateness for work at 1530 Jordan Ave NW (Tax Map 49E Group X Parcel 15.00). The property is zoned R1 Single Family Residential (pg1). Members discussed the various solutions for parking and with staying within the city ordinance and historic preservation guidelines. Sarah Coleman made a motion to table this item until the next regular meeting on March 22, 2016 at 5:15 P.M. Members should have time to view the location and return to the next meeting with a decision. Joan Benjamin seconded the motion. A vote of 6-0 passed the motion. There was no Other Projects reported. There were no Board Member reports. The meeting adjourned at 1.11 P.M.
