MINUTES SPECIAL CALLED CLEVELAND MUNICIPAL PLANNING COMMISSION TUESDAY, AUGUST 29, 2017 AT 11:00 AM CLEVELAND MUNICIPAL BUILDING 190 CHURCH STREET NE The special called meeting of the Cleveland Municipal Planning Commission was called to order by Dee Burris, Chairman, at 11:00 A.M. Members present included Larry Presswood, Gary Dennis, Dee Burris, David May, Jr., Walt Vineyard, Maryl Elliott, Clarke Taylor, and Bill Hamilton. Members absent included Tricia Pennington. Staff Present included Corey Divel, Senior Planner, Darla Jenkins Executive Secretary, Melinda Carroll, Assistant City Manager/Operations, Jonathan Jobe, Director of Development and Engineering Services, and Officer Jennifer Samples of the Cleveland Police Department. Others present Dallas Conn, Jim Richmond and Danny Martin of Richmond Survey and Larry Bowers of The Cleveland Daily Banner. There were no minutes for approval as it was a special called meeting. There were no Public Hearings. There was no Consent Agenda. There was no Old Business. In New Business, a. Request by Ella M. Douglas Estate for final plat approval of Ella M. Douglas Estate, lot 1. Property is located on Westside Dr and Douglas Circle and is zoned R1 Single Family Residential Zoning District. Plat by Richmond Surveying Company (pg1). David May. Jr. made a motion to approve and Walt Vineyard seconded the motion. Voting for the motion was Larry Presswood, Maryl Elliott, Dee Burris, and Clarke Taylor. (6-0-3 absent) Gary Dennis and Bill Hamilton arrived at 11:01 A.M. b. Consideration of a rezoning request of approximately .46 acres of property by Jason Corum located on Henderson Ave (Tax Map 42P Group A Parcel 19.00) from PI Professional Institutional to R2 Low Density Single and Multi-family Residential (pg2). David May, Jr. made a motion to approve and Clarke Taylor seconded the motion. A vote of 8-0 approved the motion. (8-0-1 absent) There was no Chairman’s Report. There was no Director’s Report. The meeting adjourned at 11:03 A.M.
