MINUTES CLEVELAND MUNICIPAL PLANNING COMMISSION TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 19, 2017 AT 6:00 PM CLEVELAND MUNICIPAL BUILDING 190 CHURCH STREET NE The regular meeting of the Cleveland Municipal Planning Commission was called to order by Dee Burris, Chairman, at 6pm. Members present include Larry Presswood, Dee Burris, David May Jr, Tricia Pennington, Walt Vineyard, Bill Hamilton, Maryl Elliot, and Clarke Taylor. Members absent included Gary Dennis. Legal Counsel present included John Kimball, Attorney for the City of Cleveland. Staff Present included Corey Divel, Senior Planner, Jonathan Jobe, Director of Development and Engineering Services, and Officer Jennifer Samples of the Cleveland Police Department. Others present include Randy Brown with Brown Survey, Tim and Patsy Murphy, James Hamilton, Carolyn Cannatella, Donald Wolfe, Alan Argo, Mitch Kinder, Travis Henry, Tom Cate, Phillip McManus, Albert Shell Jr, Brad Stuman, David Ellis, Jeff Newhalter, Freddy Burton and Larry Bowers of The Cleveland Daily Banner. The minutes from the August 15, 2017 meeting were presented for approval. Maryl Elliot made a motion to approve and David May Jr seconded the motion. A vote of 8-0 passed the motion. The minutes from the August 29, 2017 special called meeting were presented for approval. David May Jr made a motion to approve and Walt Vineyard seconded the motion. A vote of 8-0 passed the motion. There were no public hearings In the consent agenda, a. Request by Chris Townsend for preliminary plat approval of lot 4 of Stonebriar SD Property is located on Old Tasso Rd NE and 37th St NE and is zoned General Commercial Zoning District. Plat by Medders Surveying Company  Maryl Elliot made a motion to approve the variance request along 37th St NE for item a and Bill Hamilton seconded the motion. The motion carried 8-0. b. Request by Cate Brothers Development for final plat approval of The Commons at the Grove. Property is located on North Lee Highway and is zoned PUD12 Planned Unit Development. Plat by Cleveland Surveying Company. c. Request by John Sheehan for preliminary plat approval of The Pointe at the Farm Townhomes. Property is located North Lee Highway and is zoned PUD12 Planned Unit Development. Plat by Cleveland Surveying Company. d. Request for site plan approval by Robert Garrison for final plat approval of Robert E. Garrison Property. Property is located on Ramsey St NW and is zoned R2 Low Density Single and Multi-family Residential Zoning District Maryl Elliot made a motion to approve and Tricia Pennington seconded the motion. A vote of 8-0 passed the motion. There was no old business. In new business, a. Consideration of a resolution to adopt a Plan of Service for about 5.1 acres, more or less, for property located on Michigan Ave Rd and Foxfire Rd NE. Larry Presswood made a motion to approve and Maryl Elliot seconded the motion. A vote of 8-0 passed the motion. b. Consideration of a resolution to annex about 5.1 acres, more or less, for property located on Michigan Ave Rd and Foxfire Rd NE. David May Jr made a motion to approve and Bill Hamilton seconded the motion. A vote of 8-0 passed the motion. c. Consideration of an ordinance to zone about 5.1 acres, more or less, for property located on Michigan Ave Rd and Foxfire Rd NE to from the unincorporated County to R1 Single Family Residential. Tricia Pennington made a motion to approve and Bill Hamilton seconded the motion. A vote of 8-0 passed the motion.  d. Request by Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church for abandonment of a portion of right-of-way just east of East St NE. This item was removed for consideration at a later date. There was no Chairman’s Report. There was no Director’s Report The meeting was adjourned at 8:47.
