MINUTES CLEVELAND MUNICIPAL PLANNING COMMISSION TUESDAY, AUGUST 21, 2018 AT 6:00PM CLEVELAND MUNICIPAL BUILDING 190 CHURCH STREET NE The regular meeting of the Cleveland Municipal Planning Commission was called to order by Dee Burris, Chairman, at 6:00 P.M. Members present included Bill Hamilton, Dee Burris, David May, Jr., Clarke Taylor, Larry Presswood, Gary Dennis, Walt Vineyard, Tricia Pennington and Maryl Elliott. Clarke Taylor arrived at 6:01 P.M. There was no members absent. Legal Counsel present included John Kimball, Attorney for the City of Cleveland. Staff present included Corey Divel, Senior Planner, Darla Jenkins, Executive Secretary, Joe Fivas, City Manager, and Jonathan Jobe, Director of Development & Engineering Services. Others present included Jack Chase, James Chase, Mitchell Kinder of Cleveland Surveying Company, Ron Barker of Barker Development, Tim Siniard of The Cleveland Daily Banner and Officer Cody Fox of the Cleveland Police Department. The minutes of the regular July 17, 2018 meeting were presented for approval. David May, Jr. made a motion to approve the minutes and Gary Dennis seconded the motion. Voting 8-0, the motion passed. Clarke Taylor appeared at 6:01 P.M. There were no Public Hearings. In the Consent Agenda, a. Request by Tony Knight for preliminary plat/site plan approval of Cottage Stone Lane Townhouses located on Hearthstone Dr NE. Property is zoned R2 Single and Multi-family Residential Zoning District. Plat by Ingram, Gore & Associates (pg1). b. Request by Chris Townsend for final plat approval of lot 4, Stonebriar SD. Property is zoned R2 Single and Multi-family Residential Zoning District. Plat by Christian Medders Surveying(pg2). c. Request by John Sheehan for final plat approval of The Pointe at The Farm, lot 1 located on North Lee Highway. Property is zoned PUD12 Planned Unit Development District. Plat by Cleveland Surveying Company(pg3). d. Request by Sea Largo, LLC for final plat approval of The Commons at The Grove Townhomes, lot 8 located on Commons Ln NE. Property is zoned PUD12 Planned Unit Development District. Plat by Cleveland Surveying Company (pg4). e. Request by Thomas W. Clower for final plat approval of The Commons at The Grove Townhomes, lot 9 located on Commons Ln NE. Property is zoned R2 Single and Multi-family Residential Zoning District. Plat by Richmond Surveying Company(pg8). David May, Jr. made a motion to approve the Consent Agenda subject to the staff comments. Tricia Pennington seconded the motion. A vote of 9-0 passed the motion. There is no Old Business. In New Business, h. Consideration of a rezoning request by Dennis Light for approximately 6.3 acres of property (described as a portion of Tax Map 56 Parcel 51.27) located at off Tonia Dr SW from CH Commercial Highway Zoning District to R1 Single Family Residential Zoning District (pg9). David May, Jr. made a motion to approve and Maryl Elliott seconded the motion. A vote of 9-0 passed the motion. i. Consideration of a rezoning request by John Porte for approximately 2.6 acres of property (Tax Map 42 Parcel 22.03) located at 1405 Morrison Ln NE from IL  Light Industry Zoning District to R2 Single and Multi-family Residential Zoning District (pg15). David May, Jr. made a motion to postpone this item and Larry Presswood seconded the motion. Voting 9-0, the motion passed. There was no Chairman’s Report. There was no Director’s Report. The meeting adjourned at 6:13 P.M.
