COMMON COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS Wednesday, June 27, 2018 - 8:15 A.M. Special Meeting Common Council Chambers Mayor Morse led in the Pledge of Allegiance at 8:15 AM Roll call was taken PRESENT: ABSENT: Mayor Morse Council Member Koniowka Council President Briggs Council Member Smith Council Member Russell Council Member McCarthy Council Member Napier Council President Briggs, and Council Members Smith, Russell, McCarthy, Napier, and Koniowka presented Ordinance No. 4 for the year 2018 A BOND ORDINANCE, DATED JUNE 27, 2018, OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COHOES, ALBANY COUNTY, NEW YORK (THE “CITY”), AUTHORIZING THE UNDERTAKING OF VARIOUS CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS TO VARIOUS CITY FACILITIES, AT AN ESTIMATED MAXIMUM COST OF $1,900,000, AND AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF SERIAL BONDS IN AN AGRREGATE PRINCIPAL AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $1,900,000 OF THE CITY, PURSUANT TO THE LOCAL FINANCE LAW TO FINANCE SAID PURPOSE, SAID AMOUNT TO BE OFFSET BY ANY FEDERAL, STATE, COUNTY AND/OR LOCAL FUNDS RECEIVED, AND DELEGATING THE POWER TO ISSUE BOND ANTICIPATION NOTES IN ACTICIPATION OF THE SALE OF SUCH BONDS TO THE CITY COMPTROLLER Mayor Morse, “As you know, we took a vote on this last night. There was five “Yea’s” and one “Nay”. Mr. Koniowka, who is absent, was the only member to vote “Nay”. Any other comments or questions, we will take a motion.” Council Member Russell made a MOTION to approve Ordinance No. 4 for the year 2018, seconded by Council President Briggs. All members present voted “AYE”. Ordinance No. 4 for the year 2018 passed. At 8:20 AM the Common Council Special Meeting was adjourned. ______________________________ Lori A. Yando, City Clerk
