MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE BOARD OF ETHICS OF THE CITY OF COHOES HELD ON MONDAY, June 5, 2023 IN THE COMMON COUNCIL CHAMBERS OF CITY HALL Members Present: Charles Valenti, Chairperson Deborah Gilchrist, Member David Emanatian, Member Melody Nadeau, Alternate Member Also Present: Representative of the Organization Making an Inquiry The meeting was called to order at 6:34 p.m. Items Considered: 1. The minutes of the February 27, 2023 and the March 27, 2023 of the Board of Ethics were approved unanimously. 2. The Board discussed the Inquiry with the representative of the Organization that submitted the Inquiry to the Board and noted that it was not a Complaint or a Request for an Advisory Opinion. The Board explained the Code of Ethics to the representative and how it related to the issue under consideration. They pointed out that the matter was not subject to the Code of Ethics since it was one of labor relations, not ethics. 3. The Chairperson informed the Board that he received an Inquiry by phone and that he suggested to the individual making the Inquiry to submit a Complaint if he wanted a formal determination by the whole Board. The time and date of the next meeting will be determined in the near future. The meeting was adjourned at 7:04 p.m.
