MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COHOES HISTORIC PRESERVATION AND ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW BOARD HELD IN CITY HALL ON March 20, 2018 AT 6:30 PM MEMBERS PRESENT: Daniele Cherniak, Chairperson Barbara Hildreth, Vice Chairperson Herbert Hyde ABSENT: Robert Langley, Thomas Rifenberg ALSO PRESENT: Debbie Jacques, Recording Secretary Chairperson Cherniak called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES FROM THE FEBRUARY 20, 2018 MEETING Herbert Hyde moved to approve the February 20, 2018 meeting minutes. Barbara Hildredth seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. CONSIDERATION OF REVISIONS TO 12 WHITE STREET, COHOES, NY Daniele Cherniak asked the members if they had a chance to review the email from Melissa showing the modifications to the building. The members had some questions that they would like answered by the developer. They are questioning the façade – the original plans called for stone/brick and it looks like the new plans will be siding. They also want to see color samples. The members questioned the why the windows on White Street are different from the other windows. The members would like to know what materials will be used for the areas surrounding the windows. The members also would like more information regarding the windows and the color of the window frames. Daniele Cherniak stated that since the developer was not present they did not want to take action on this item tonight. The members stated that they liked the new design and would be in favor of the project but they felt they needed further information in order to approve the revisions. Debbie Jacques stated that she would send an email to the Director of Economic and Community Development and the Developer stating the boards concerns. There being no further business, the Board adjourned at 7:15 pm.
