CONSIDERATION OF A MINOR SUBDIVISION AT NORTH ERIE STREET
The City of Cohoes submitted a minor subdivision application for North Erie Street. The City now
owns lands formerly owned by the State of New York. The City intends to auction off the parcel
subdivided from the remaining strip of land.
April Kennedy, First Ward Council Representative, indicated that the City would prefer to have
the land on the tax rolls. The land could not be developed due to costs associated with disturbing
portions of the Canal. The neighbor across the street, John Hogan, currently uses the land for
parking his vehicles. He is interested in obtaining the land.
Member Carboni made a motion to approve the special use permit. Vice Chairman Badgley
seconded the motion. Roll of call was taken and the motion passed three to four.
