MINUTES OF THE COHOES ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS HELD IN THE COMMON COUNCIL CHAMBERS OF COHOES CITY HALL ON WEDNESDAY, JUNE 28TH, 2017 MEMBERS PRESENT: Mrs. Joyce Baranski, Vice-Chairwoman Mr. Mark Cotch Mr. Gary Sawyer ALSO PRESENT: Ms. Kara McKnight, City Planner MEMBERS ABSENT: Ms. Theresa Thibodeau, Chairwoman Mr. Michael Briggs CONSIDERATION OF THE MINUTES FROM MAY 24TH, 2017 Vice chairwoman Baranski called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm and the consideration of May’s meeting was passed unanimously. YES NO ABSTAIN Michael Briggs ABSENT Joyce Baranski X Mark Cotch X Gary Sawyer X Theresa Thibodeau ABSENT CONSIDERATION OF A VARIANCE AT 17 PLEASANT COURT The applicant explained their plan to build a 24 x 24 garage in the back yard that will be 4 feet from the property line requiring a 6 foot variance. The driveway will extend from its current location to meet the two car garage. All of the neighbors have been made aware of the plan and have no complaints or concerns. Member Cotch motions for the approval and Member Joyce seconds it. The vote was unanimous and the permit was approved.
