The committee introduced themselves, meeting two new members: Marci Booth and Lisa Ealley. 1. The agenda was reviewed, and a motion was made by Ms. Bellamy to accept it. Mr. Turley seconded the motion. Motion carries 7-0-0. 2. The October 24, 2019 minutes were reviewed, and a motion was made by Mr. Turley to accept the minutes as presented. Ms. Bellamy seconded the motion. Motion carries 6-0-1. 3. AWC Report from Ms. Cooper a. AWC Donation Account – $10,180 (No change from October 2019) b. Adoptions i. Julian, Chase and Apollo (all cats) c. Fosters/Petco i. Lady (AKA Pearl), Stevie – foster with Ms. Rodeffer ii. Sophie and Yoshi are at Petco 4. Municipal Scene Articles a. Hazardous Human food – December – Suzie. b. Cold Weather Hazards (ice melts, antifreeze, etc.) – January – Lisa [will need to be sent to Vivian by December 27] c. Briefly discussed a topic for February surrounding chocolate candy. Will revisit at the January meeting. 5. The Rabies and Microchip clinic went well. There were 22 dogs and cats seen. Several had both microchips and rabies shot. It was fairly steady throughout the four hours. Ms. Cooper suggested that a spring event would be a good idea, late April/May. Dr. Meiuller is checking her schedule and will give Ms. Cooper potential dates. 6. Ms. Bellamy is going to spearhead a working committee on the City Code revisions pertaining to animals and their welfare. Ms. Nagel agreed to assist. Ms. Cooper will send out a draft of the current code and suggested revisions with color coding to the committee. The committee members are asked to read and review and send all comments and suggestions to Ms. Bellamy via email. 7. The AWC will be the recipient of $400 from Petco for the Santa Pet Pictures. Santa pictures will be taken on Saturday, December 7 and Saturday, December 14 from 1:00pm-4:00pm. Ms. Stange has agreed to be Santa on both Saturdays. Ms. Anderson and Ms. DeWalt volunteered for Saturday, December 7 and Ms. Rodeffer, Ms. Booth and Ms. Ealley volunteered for Saturday, December 14. 8. The next meeting will be on Thursday, January 23, 2020 at 7:30pm in Davis Hall. Mr. Turley made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Second by Ms. Bellamy. The meeting was adjourned at 8:10pm.
