The agenda was reviewed, and a motion was made by Ms. Rodeffer to accept it. Ms. Stange seconded the motion. Motion carries 9-0-0. 2. January 23, 2020 minutes were reviewed, and a motion was made by Ms. Stange to accept the minutes as presented. Ms. Butler seconded the motion. Motion carries 9-0-0. 3. AWC Report from Ms. Cooper a. AWC Donation Account – $10,741.39. This now includes the $400 check received from Petco for the Pets with Santa picture in December. As a reminder, there is a $1000 on hold from this account to go to the Greenbelt CART Team. We are waiting on a signed MOU from the City of College Park; it is continuing under review. Ms. Cooper indicated that the City of College Park Finance Manager has asked if the committee is planning to spend any monies from the account. As a reminder, the monies need to be spent dealing with the specific mission of the committee. There was a suggestion about insulating and fixing up the shelter; Ms. Cooper stated that the shelter work would be done by the Department of Public Works. b. Adoptions i. Stevie, Ms. Lady, Pongo (all cats) c. Fosters/Petco i. Lady 2, Trouble 2 (Petco) 4. Municipal Scene Articles a. April – flowers and bulbs – Marci Booth (done) b. May – TNR – Patti Stange c. June – Tethering of dogs outside – Chris Nagle 5. Maryland Day is April 25 from 10:00am – 4:00pm. It is held at the University of Maryland. Volunteers will be needed to help man the AWC table. Ms. Stange and Ms. DeWalt volunteered from 10am-12Noon. Ms. Butler volunteered from 2pm-4pm. Any other volunteers should contact Ms. Cooper. 6. May 17 is the tentative date set for the Rabies/Microchip clinic. As always, the clinic will be from 10:00am- 2:00pm. Ms. Cooper will reserve Davis Hall. 7. The Mid-Atlantic Animal Care Conference is being held April 8-10 in Ocean City, Maryland. Ms. Butler has volunteered to go and represent the AWC. Ms. Booth made a motion that the AWC will authorize spending up to $600 to cover the cost of the conference and hotel accommodations for Ms. Butler. Ms. Bellamy seconded the motion. Motion carries – 8-0-1. 8. Reviewed in more detail the City Code dealing with animals. Ms. Nagle has agreed to have all comments sent to her and she will revise the documentation showing all comments received. This will be reviewed in depth at the April AWC meeting. 9. The next meeting will be on Thursday, April 23, 2020 at 7:30pm in Davis Hall. Ms. Termini made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Second by Ms. Stange. The meeting was adjourned at 8:50pm.
