CHARTER REVIEW COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES FEBRUARY 6, 2013 - 3:30 PM CITY HALL, 1840 SECOND STREET, COLUMBIA CITY Present: Casey Wheeler, Chair Frank Hupp, Vice Chair Cheryl Young Sue Ziglinski Bill Amos Leahnette Rivers Absent: Ed Fischer Using a projector, Chair Wheeler led the Committee through the changes made to the draft based upon the input received during the last meeting and discussed the final draft at length. Members discussed the next steps:  Send draft to City Attorney  Further review/discussion based upon City Attorney input  Forward to City Council  Public education campaign/town hall meetings/newsletter articles/website information  Ballot Title certification in August  Notice of Measure Election in September  November Election Because this year’s November election is not a general election, there will be some cost associated with placing the measure on the ballot. We may want to postpone this to a future election date if there aren’t many other measures sharing the ballot. Meeting adjourned at 4:30 p.m.
