Water and Sewer Committee Meeting Minutes - February 11, 2014 - 6 pm City Hall, 1840 Second Street, Columbia City of Columbia City Members Present- Josh Fromm, Co-Chair Sally Ann Marson, Co-Chair John Burdett Robert Campbell Bill Guy (arrived 6:19 pm) Attendees- Leahnette Rivers, City Administrator/Recorder Eric Collins, Equant Environmental and Water Resources Consulting Meeting called to order at 6 pm. 1. Source Water Protection: Members reviewed and discussed the February 2014 draft City of Columbia City Source Water Protection Plan with Eric Collins. The draft plan will be presented to the City Council for adoption during their February 20, 2014 meeting. 2. Bid Results for Columbia City Water System Improvement Project: Members reviewed the following bid results: Nutter Corporation $590,830.22 K & E Excavating 595,345.00 3 Kings Environmental, Inc. 651,491.00 2KG Contractors 584,924.00 P.C.R., Inc. 695,400.00 Civil Works NW, Inc. 573,600.00 NW Kodiak Construction LLC 532,662.00 Bill Booker Construction 534,462.24 The notice of intent to award the contract to the lowest bidder, NW Kodiak Construction LLC, will be distributed this week. We expect to complete the project by August 2014. 3. Discuss Columbia City Sewer Improvement Project Status: The loan documents have been signed and we have the funding agencies permission to move forward on the project. We expect to complete the project by December 2014. 4. Discuss the Development of the 2014-15 Five-Year Capital Improvement Plan: Members reviewed the water and sewer project list with staff and provided input for project updates for the 2014-15 Five-Year Plan.
