The City of Columbia City In Columbia County on the Columbia River STREET COMMITTEE MINUTES FEBRUARY 26, 2014 MEETING City Hall, 1840 Second Street, Columbia City 6:00 p.m. Attendees: Casey Wheeler, Chair Dave Jensen, Committee Member Micah Rogers, Public Works Superintendent Leahnette Rivers, City Administrator/Recorder Chairman Wheeler called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. 1. Select SCA project for 2015: Members reviewed the pre-application rating results provided by J.J. Johnson for the section of L Street between Second and Fourth Streets and the section of Sixth Street between “I” and “K” Streets. Members reviewed and discussed the scoring results for the projects that were submitted for funding last year. It was the consensus of the Committee that we continue to pursue funding for “L” Street, but we consider adding curb, gutter and sidewalks (most likely to the south side of the project). Micah will look into how to handle the storm drainage and contact the City Engineer to discuss project design and pricing. Leahnette will e-mail additional information to the Street Committee Members as it becomes available. 2. 5-Year Capital Improvement Plan Update: Members reviewed the list of street projects, discussed them at length, and re-prioritized them based upon current conditions. 3. Crack seal work: It was the consensus of the Committee that $30,000 be invested in crack seal work prior to June 30, 2014.
