The City of Columbia City In Columbia County on the Columbia River Hazard Mitigation Planning Group Meeting Minutes – July 24, 2017 - 6:00 p.m. City Hall, 1840 Second Street Columbia City, Oregon 97018 Members Present: Karli Ebert, Council Representative Dan McGraw, Citizen Member Frank Hupp, Citizen Member Gary Hudson, Citizen Member Michael McGlothlin, Chief of Police Anne Parrott, The Public Health Foundation of Columbia County Meeting called to order at 6:04 pm Topics: Minutes approved from the July 24, 2017 Planning Group meeting. So moved by Dan McGraw, Seconded by Anne Parrott, and approved unanimously. Discussion took place regarding event theme, applicable status updates, plans and coordination needed for the 2017 Prepare Fair. The following topics were discussed: 1. Chief McGlothlin briefed that CRF&R and ODF had yet to confirm participation for this year’s event, coordination for tables and chairs needed for the event are on-going and will be finalized once total number of participants are confirmed, City Hall staff will assist in making participant cards for raffle items, and that outreach to Dyno Nobel personnel had been completed but are awaiting response. 2. Anne Parrott briefed that the following participants have confirmed their attendance with her: Columbia 911/CCOM, American Red Cross, St. Helens SERT, ARES/RACES, and Public Health/MRC. Final contacts to be 1  made with a local vet service provider in order to confirm their participation. Anne also recommended Lew Miller as an invited participant specific to preparedness displays/educational information. 3. The planning group designated the theme for this year’s event to be “Neighbor Helping Neighbor”, as suggested by Frank Hupp. 4. Dan McGraw briefed that he also had tents, tables, and extension cords available for use during the event. 5. Frank Hupp briefed that he is pending final coordination with the Veterans Administration for their proposed participation. During “Other Business” planning group members scheduled the next planning group meeting to take place on Monday August 28, 2017 for final coordination. Adjourned at 6:39 pm. 2
