The City of Columbia City In Columbia County on the Columbia River STREET COMMITTEE MINUTES MAY 2, 2023 MEETING City Hall, 1840 Second Street, Columbia City 6:00 p.m. Attendees: Rob Forman, Council Committee Member & Chair David Jensen, Committee Member Jeff Peterson, Committee Member Micah Rogers, Public Works Superintendent Chair Forman called the meeting to order at 6:08 p.m. Conducting of City Street Survey for projecting maintenance/resurfacing projcts: Members discussed the pavement condition survey. Dave Jensen suggested that we needed a standard in place to rank the condition of the roads. He said that the current 1-4 numbering system is open to interpretation by whoever is conducting the survey. Micah Rogers said that he had seen something on the ODOT website about rating pavement condition. Jeff Peterson found the page on the State website. After further discussion, the committee agreed to use the rating system from the ODOT site. City Staff will update the survey pages to reflect the changes to the rating system and then send them to committee members along with copies of the pavement conditions from ODOT. Members also asked for a date when the survey should be completed.
