Monthly Meeting, Senior Center – Front Room, 6:00 PM

1. Call meeting to order: Carolyn Fredericks
2. Properly posted meeting: Check
3. Citizen comments on agenda items: None
4. Approve Agenda: Correction under Old Business: Item A to read: “Summer
Concert Series – 2020” Motion: Lukasavitz; Second: Hermanson; Motion carried.
5. Approve Minutes of May 9, 2019:
Motion: Salzwedel; Second: Hermanson; Motion carried
6. Treasurer Report-Attached: Summary of 2019 Summer Concerts revised to
include a $100 donation.
Fredericks & Salzwedel will send an invoice w/copy of the vendor contract to
delinquent vendors.
Motion: Lukasavitz; Second: Salzwedel; Motion carried.
7. Old Business:
A. Summer Concert Series – 2020: Salzwedel made a motion to continue the
Concert series for 2020 using 2019 guidelines. Altschwager seconded it. Motion
carried.
Fredericks will contact Loco Vocals for the July 24 concert.
1) Newspaper article – Thank you to the community and business sponsors
for their support: Ulrich & Fredericks will submit an article for the paper with a
picture of the event, and appreciation to sponsors, vendors, and all who donated.
2) Continue to update business email addresses. Collaborate with Matt
Schreiber: Hermanson & Fredericks will work with Cailin Lueders.
B. Pavilion projects/planning meeting – September 18, 2019 – 5:00 p.m. at the
Pavilion: Noted.
C. Alice’s plaque: The proof will be made available next week.
E. 2020 calendar: Ulrich reported that the process was going well.
F. Rest Haven frieze painting: Work in progress. Hermanson will get a color photo
to include in an article for the paper about the 2020 calendar.
8. New Business:
A. Bills: None
B. Donations from Mary Poser Charitable Trust – Pavilion Projects ADA Fund
& Susan Stare Auditorium Fund:
In the amount of: $59,887.41 Pavilion Projects ADA Fund
$ 7,485.93 Susan Stare Auditorium Fund
C. CAC check received from Steve Hajewski: In the amount of: $21,997.72
Salzwedel made a motion to have Altschwager open a 5-year CD with combined
funds for the Auditorium ($29,483.65) at FMUB. Ulrich seconded it. Motion
carried.
D. Andrew Gile – Columbus Theater Association presentation of the
Renovation/Operating Plan for the Auditorium. Thursday, September 19 in
the F&M Bank boardroom. Dickason Blvd entrance: Fredericks will contact
Gile for an update.
E: Teamwork meeting with Mayor Thom and a few council members for
improvements to historic preservation ordinance: Fredericks, Salzwedel,
Hermanson, Joe DeRose (Certified Local Preservation Specialist), Mayor Thom,
Council President Traxler, Council Member Johnson to comprise a team.
F: Jan’s book signing – September 12th 6:00 to 8:00 at Kurth Brewery: Noted.
G: Historical Society Ice Cream Social – September 25th - volunteers: Noted.
9. Council Liaison Report: Commented on the ordinance meeting.
10. Adjourn: Salzwedel made a motion to adjourn, Altschwager seconded it. Motion
carried. Meeting adjourned at 8:05 pm.
