Columbus Historic Landmarks and Preservation Commission Pavilion Projects Meeting Agenda Wednesday September 18, 2019 @ 5:00 pm Fireman’s Park Pavilion Attendees: John Salzwedel, Beth Altschwager, Carolyn Fredericks, Eric Lucasavitz, Retta Kurth, Jan Ulrich, Ruth Hermanson Council Liason: Andy Traxler, Guest: Paul Pyfferoen 1. Call meeting to order: John Salzwedel 2. Properly posted meeting: Check 3. Approve agenda: Motion: Hermanson; Second: Altschwager; Motion carried. 4. Citizen comments on agenda items: None 5. Approve minutes from the August 21, 2019 Pavilion Planning meeting: Motion: Lukasavitz; Second, Ulrich; Motion carried. 6. Windows – SHPO form, information for Angie Sheskey and Council: Salzwedel will work with Fredericks on the form and paperwork for presentation to Sheskey and Council. This winter will be the most opportune timeframe. Crary did an inspection of an area on the west side of the building and found spaces for the previously covered up windows. Follow up next meeting. . 7. Exterior painting: Timeline in question, due to work on windows and entryway. Follow up next meeting. 8. First floor entryway design :– Guest Paul Pyfferoen Pyfferoen presented pre- pared blueprints for discussion. Hermanson & Fredericks will work with Pyfferoen on a design for approval. 9. Discussion of specific project in honor of Mary Poser donation: Follow up at next meeting. 10. Vote on final payment of $2,400 to contractor for Resthaven frieze board painting job completion: Lukasavitz made a motion to pay Rob McNicol $1,744.60 from CHLPC “new projects” city account, and the balance of $655.40 from the CHLPC account. Hermanson seconded the motion. Motion carried. . 11. Next meeting date: Set for October 23, 5 pm at the Pavilion. 12. Adjourn: Motion: Altschwager; Second: Kurth; Motion carried.
