Call to Order/Roll Call A special meeting of the City Council of the City of Commerce City was called to order by Mayor Ford on August 12, 2013, at 5:43 PM. Present: 9 - Mayor Sean Ford , Council Member Jim Benson, Council Member Jadie Carson, Council Member Rick A. Teter, Mayor Pro-Tem René Bullock, Council Member Crystal Elliott, Council Member Jason McEldowney, Council Member Steven J. Douglas and Council Member Andrew Amador 2. Executive Session A motion was made by Council Member McEldowney, seconded by Mayor Pro-Tem Bullock, that an executive session, pursuant to CRS 24-6-402(4)(e) for the purpose of determining positions and developing strategy for negotiating with Adams County regarding the number of municipal inmates housed at the Adams County jail, be held. VOICE VOTE: Unanimous, all present affirmed. 13-0033 Executive session pursuant to C.R.S. 24-6-402(4)(e) for the purpose of determining positions and developing strategy for negotiating with Adams County regarding the number of municipal inmates housed at the Adams County Jail. After reconvening the special meeting, Council members Benson and McEldowney moved and seconded to authorize Mayor Ford to sign a letter on behalf of the council. VOICE VOTE: Unanimous; all present affirmed Council members McEldowney and Bullock moved and seconded to change the meeting time of the August 19, 2013, meeting to 5:30 pm in order to convene an executive session.
