Call to Order/Roll Call A special meeting of the City Council of the City of Commerce City was called to order by Mayor Pro Tem Bullock on May 22, 2017, at 8:51 PM. A motion was made by Council Member McEldowney, seconded by Council Member Teter, to excuse Mayor Ford from this meeting. VOTE: 8 aye, 1 excused (Ford) Present: 8 - Council Member Jadie Carson, Council Member Rick A. Teter, Mayor Pro Tem René Bullock, Council Member Crystal Elliott, Council Member Jason McEldowney, Council Member Steven J. Douglas, Council Member Andrew Amador and Council Member Paolo Diaz Excused: 1 - Mayor Sean Ford 2. Presentations Pres 17-280 Tower Road/Peña Boulevard Ramp, Denver Tower Road Improvements Project Update Deputy City Manager Tinklenberg reviewed the history of this project dating back to 1992. Mr. Tinklenberg also reviewed the various cost estimates of the project from 2012 at $3.2 million to today at $8.7 million. He reviewed the scope changes and other factors contributing to rising costs. 3. Executive Session 17-40 An executive session pursuant to C.R.S. 24-6-402(4)(a) to determine positions, develop strategy, and instruct negotiators relative to an intergovernmental agreement with the City and County of Denver for the construction and financing of the Tower-Pena Ramp Project. A motion was made by Council Member McEldowney, seconded by Council Member Amador, to enter into an executive session, pursuant to CRS 24-6-402(4)(e), to determine positions, develop strategy, and instruct negotiators relative to an intergovernmental agreement with the City and County of Denver for the construction and financeing of the Tower-Pena Ramp Project.
