Call to Order/Roll Call A special meeting of the City Council of the City of Commerce City was called to order by Mayor Huseman on March 23, 2020, at 6:01 PM. Present: 9 - Mayor Benjamin Huseman, Mayor Pro Tem Nicole Frank, Council Member Oscar Madera, Council Member Jennifer Allen-Thomas, Council Member Susan Noble, Council Member Jose Guardiola, Council Member Craig Hurst, Council Member Meghan Grimes and Council Member Robyn Smith 2. Presentations Pres 20-158 Closing Date Extension for Sale of the Mile High Greyhound Park Property Jenna Lowery, Management Analyst, presented on the proposed closing date extension for the Mile High Greyhound Park. A motion was made by Council Member Madera, seconded by Council Member Hurst, to approve an amendment to the Purchase and Sale Agreement to extend the closing deadline to June 1. ROLL CALL VOTE: 9 - Aye 3. Administrative Council Business The council unanimously consented to Council Member Nobles request to discuss the city council encouraging Adams County to extend the deadline for property taxes to July 15. A motion was made by Council Member Noble, seconded by Council Member Madera, that the city council encourages Adams County to extend the deadline for property taxes to July 15. ROLL CALL VOTE: 9 - Aye Commerce City Page 1 City Council Meeting Minutes - Final March 23, 2020 20-23 Ratification of the actions of the Council during an emergency special meeting on March 19, 2020, authorizing the Mayor to execute a letter on behalf of the City for the US Conference of Mayors related to coronavirus relief. A motion was made by Mayor Pro Tem Frank, seconded by Council Member Allen-Thomas, to ratify the actions of the council during an emergency special meeting on March 19-20. ROLL CALL VOTE: 9 - Aye 20-24 Consideration of the schedule for regular Council meetings and boards and commission meetings after March 31. A motion was made by Council Member Madera, seconded by Council Member Noble, to cancel all Council meetings and board and commission meetings through April 17 unless a special meeting is called pursuant to the Charter.
