Call To Order/Roll Call Present 9 - Debra Bullock, Brian Connor, Crystal Elliott, David Soucie, Ed Hanson, Heidi McNeely, Jacob Wilson, Jadie Carson, and Susan Carabajal Absent 4 - Brian Draxten, Dee Saiz-Lamberson, Francine Crusan-Garcia, and Jackie Maldonado 2. Approval of Minutes This was approved 3. Financial Report No changes in March except $360 expense to one of the headliners In April, two deposits from MitP sponsorships (Lokal Homes & United Power) In May, $4,000 QCF grant ($3,000 MitP & $1,000 for art shows) This was approved 4. Complete outside hours documents 5. Old Business • Old Business o SCFD Tier III Grant interview  May 11, 5:50 pm at Northglenn Rec Center o Art shows, Wrap up  May 1 at Brighton Armory (27J) • Successes/Lessons learned o Good turnout, unfortunately not many artists were there, venue and artwork were great, certificates were not given out,  May 4 at Adams City High School • Successes/Lessons learned o Around 400 people, really good, great food, bag of goodies for all participants o Memorial Day Parade updates  Registration status • Done and complete  Verify members participating o Purchase of promotional supplies (T-shirts, caps, signs, fans, etc.)  At memorial day parade, hand off shirts to Ed for distribution  Fan distribution: save some for the neighborhood outreach on 6/8 (200pcs)  Once Daniela receives more information on line up, etc she will forward to Ed  To bring: banners, anything else?  Discuss float for 2018 Commerce City Page 1 Cultural Council Meeting Minutes May 9, 2017 • not tonight o Commerce City Neighborhood Outreach  June 8 at Fronterra & August 10 at Pioneer both at 6-830PM  To bring: rack cards, table cloth, MitP flyers, business cards, posters being put up, chipotle flyers, buy paper weights?, paint rocks as an activity????  Posters with pictures for display • Daniela can help print off pictures but needs the poster board  Other ideas? o Music in the Park  Review/approve MitP fliers • No edits/changes made  Sponsorship/ Partnership updates • Les Schwab is a no go • Dion's can do a family night – Crystal will follow up and send out an email • Laura Bauer check is ready to be picked up  Swallow Hill Update • Hannah at Swallow Hill is MIA – Susan is trying to talk to new point of contact, Michael • Susan is proposing this to be the activity for 5th concert not for MitP  Band updates • we're good  Chipotle update  Food truck updates • Daniela will check on location, preferably back of parking lot • Crystal knows someone that has a mountain man and would like to participate (maybe 7/6). July 20 @ Pioneer dessert food truck condition is for the only one to be there  Flyers/Posters/Signs production and distribution plans • Daniela has reserved spots to promote MitP throughout the frames the city has put up • Need to purchase a minimum of 3 at $150 total • Deb makes a motion to buy 5 or less banners • Jadie seconds • Motion is approved unanimously  Review and approve Survey • Ed would like to propose to add what other offerings people would like to see  5th concert (Aug 31)– Crash Daddeez • Metro PC is a 90% sponsor for $1000 • 1st Bank is leaning towards buying the CD's ($1,000) - that would pay for the band • Crash Daddeez will label the cds with CC logo (about 400 that you hand out) • Still need to come up money for stage and sound • Possible time for event:Swallo Hill 5-6 & Band 6-8 • Possible location: reunion, buffalo run, Southlawn, Fronterra • Marketing: through the schools- send flyers home to families • Jadie motions to approve aug 31 concert with Crash Daddeez if we can get in $2000 in grants •Second motion by Deb •Jacob is opposed •Motion is approved Review Sponsorship Levels document for 2018 – not tonight Stickers •The city can do paper stickers • Other items? o A member has been absent- board will send out a letter for her to step down  Daniela and Ed will write a letter Commerce City Page 2 Cultural Council Meeting Minutes May 9, 2017  Heidi motions  Susan seconds  Motion is approved 6.
