1. Call To Order/Roll Call
Present: Kristin Henning, Ed Hanson, Gary Kidd, Joel Georgia, Angela Ramirez, Abe

• Approve December 11, 2018 Meeting Minutes
Motion to approve with said edits by Ramirez. Seconded by Kidd. Motion was
approved.
• Financial Updates
Staff presented a draft budget for the year. Hanson motioned to approve. Ramirez
seconded. Motion was approved.

Members helped staff with options for the next 9 months.

New, photography exhibition will be up by the rededication date in both recreation
centers.

• Music in the Park
o Band Selection
Ramirez reported back on behalf of the MitP committee. Hanson moved to accept
band line-up as presented. Kidd seconded. Motion was approved. Members also
offered suggestions for 2020 musical acts to be considered.
• Fundraising 101
Hanson is working with Bullock to host a presentation at the Conter Center. Hanson
will report back to
the group once date is finalized.
• Commerce City Eats update:
Momentum has been built behind it. Concern is how to entice businesses to
participate and not have a
loss. Potential month to host event, September. Members Guardiola, Ramirez and
Henning to form
committee
• Marketing Materials (need a new tent, box for supplies, badges, t-shirts, pens, etc.)
Member suggested using Norm’s Printing, a local business, for future orders. Hanson
motioned for staff
to order business cards and name tags, then, revisit purchasing a tent. Ramirez
seconded. Motion was
approved.
• Social Media Joel
Georgia proposed future social media posts and asked for feedback. He will also work
on a Cultural
Council 2020 calendar.
• Sponsorships
Councilman Guardiola suggested the board to submit grant ideas to CDBG for
potential future funding.
4. New Business - Miscellaneous Items and Open Discussion

• February 4, 2019 – Bullock and Henning will be giving City Council an Annual Report.
Presenting members invited the rest of the membership to be present during the
meeting.
