Call To Order/Roll Call Present 8 - Board Member Abraham Ramirez, Board Member Angela Ramirez, Board Member Debra Bullock, Board Member Ed Hanson, Board Member Jacob Wilson, Board Member Kristin Henning, Board Member Lucy Molina, and Board Member Samantha Hunt-Duran Absent 2 - Council Regular Jose Guardiola, and Board Member Kristi Douglas 2. Welcome/Guest and New Member Introductions Guest: Bruce Emery, Fronterra Park Art Committee New members will be appointec during Council's Regular Meeting, July 15. 3. Regular Business Items • Financial Report Members reviewed financials for June • New members or applications One new member will be appointed July 15, 2019. • Complete outside hours document Item was completed. 4. Approval of Minutes Motion to approve by Councilman Hurst. Motion seconded by Hunt-Duran. Motion was approved. Minutes 06/11/2019 Attachments: Minutes 5. Committee Reports and Discussion Public Art/Others • Fronterra Public Art City's art consultant, Kendall Peterson was unable to make it. Staff liaison instead, presented the Cultural Council with the Fronterra Park Art Committee recommendation to accept artwork by Lisa Russell from Fort Collins. Motion to approve recommendation by Wilson. Seconded by Hanson. Motion was unanimously approved. • Public Art Inventory update Commerce City Page 1 Cultural Council Meeting Minutes July 9, 2019 Inventory has been updated. • Rotating Art Exhibit update Exhibition to go up in the next week or two. Members will discuss a hosting a receoption in the fall next regular meeting. • Tower Road update No new update Music in the Park • Main point of Contact for concerts will be Debra Bullock. Secondary point of contact will be staff liaison. •Staff liaison will provide hard copies of the Boards and Commissions application. •Angela Ramirez will bring her cutout artwork for attendees to take a picture in exchange for a donation to the Cultural Council. •Molina will provide door prizes from Joyeria Alondra and Cultural Council will give away two decks of cards. •Food Trucks have been confirmed. Fundraising/Grants • Members were not able to attend the SCFD meeting-June 27th 5:30 at the Adams County Government Center • In the absence of Councilman Guardiola, Councilman Hurst gave an update on Commerce City Eats September 22-30 Marketing Materials • Cultural Council Brochure • Public art brochure • Event brochure No action was taken Social Media • Calendar for 2020 status Henning will bring back a draft for the next regular meeting. • Facebook posts – Hunt-Duran has taken over social media after Georgia's resignation. Hunt-Duran also gave a report-back on Cultural Council's new social media account, Instagram. Upcoming Events • Cultural Council Booth presentation for 2019-August 8-Neighborhood Outreach at Pioneer Park 6.
