Call To Order/Roll Call Lucy Molina was asked to excuse herself at 6:23 p.m. Present 8 - Board Member Abraham Ramirez, Board Member Angela Ramirez, Board Member Debra Bullock, Board Member Ed Hanson, Board Member Jacob Wilson, Council Regular Jose Guardiola, Board Member Kristin Henning, and Board Member Lucy Molina Excused 2 - Board Member Kristi Douglas, and Board Member Samantha Hunt-Duran Absent 2 - Council Member Craig Hurst, and Board Member Dindi Wade 2. Welcome/Guest and New Member Introductions None 3. Approval of Minutes Minutes were not discussed. Will be re-visited in October. Minutes 08/13/2019 Attachments: Minutes 4. Regular Business Financial Report was reported out to board members. New members or applications was discussed. Members shared that at recent events, they've had individuals express interest in applying. Councilmember Guardiola also confirmed seeing one new application come in. Outside hours document was completed. 5. Committee Reports and Discussion Public Art/Others No new update for Fronterra Park and Tower Road public art projects. Members reviewed the art exhibition RFQ for future theme. January 2020 will display a unique look at how residents view their Commerce City. Rotating Art Exhibit Commerce City Page 1 Cultural Council Meeting Minutes September 10, 2019 Reception will be held, Friday, October 18 at Bison Ridge Recreation Center. Hanson is working on securing live music entertainment, Bullock will secure food, and staff will be helping with a promotional flyer and meeting city requirements to have alcohol. Music in the Park Recap Staff will provide evaluation recap during the annual planning meeting. Fundraising/Grants SCFD check ceremony will be October 17. More info to come. Outreach/Marketing Materials Members will look at ordering different options; tote bags, t-shirts, buttons, tattoos, and (small) musical instruments. Social Media Staff will add Henning and Councilman Guardiola to assist with social media. Upcoming Events Colorado Non-profit Association Conference. Henning will be attending on behalf of the board. RFQ for future art exhibition. CC growth/expansion, Winter CC, What does your cc look like?, 6. New Business Members to send staff questions for a city council candidate forum no later than September 26. 7. Member Comments/Announcements None 8.
