Call To Order Chair Ramirez called the meeting to order at 6:06 p.m. via Zoom. Present 9 - Board Member Abraham Ramirez, Board Member Ana Munoz, Board Member Angela Ramirez, Board Member Diana Munoz, Board Member Jacqueline Riggs-Gonzales, Board Member Lupita Arce, Board Member Ronna Sanchez, Council Member Craig Hurst, and Council Member Kristi Douglas Absent 3 - Board Member Jennifer Martin, Board Member Kelly Reyos, and Board Member Linda Barr 2. Approval of Minutes Min 22-126 Minutes of May 10, 2022 Meeting Board member Sanchez made a motion to approve the minutes of the May 10, 2022 meeting. Board member Ramirez seconded the motion which was approved unanimously. 3. Regular Business Items Ice Breaker Question The Board discussed the ice breaker question. Councilwoman Douglas joined the meeting at 6:11 p.m. Financial and Grant Updates Board member Riggs-Gonzales presented the May 2022 financial documents. Board member Ramirez made a motion to approve the May 2022 Financials. Board member Sanchez seconded the motion which passed unanimously. Board member Sanchez provided a grant update. 4. Subcommittee Overviews and Assignments Chair Ramirez requested that Subcommittee Chairs send updates to the Council. Commerce City Page 1 Cultural Council Meeting Minutes - Final June 14, 2022 5. Committee Reports Public Art Shows Chair Ramirez shared the success of the Summer Art Show at the Recreation Centers. Student Art Shows were discussed by the Board. Board member Ramirez made a motion to create a new subcommittee focused on student art shows. Board member Riggs-Gonzalez seconded the motion which was approved unanimously. Social Media and Marketing Chair Ramirez shared if any members are interested in joining the Social Media and Marketing Subcommittee to please contact him. Commerce City Eats Chair Ramirez shared if any members are interested in joining the Commerce City Eats Subcommittee to please contact him. Music in the Park Chair Ramirez provided an update on the upcoming Music in the Park events. The Board discussed the food trucks as well as if food would be set aside for the bands. Board member Sanchez made a motion to approve a budget of $200 at each concert to provide dinner for the bands. Board member Ramirez seconded the motion which was approved unanimously. 6. New Business Promotional Item Discussion Staff Liaison, Jenny Penoncello, presented various promotional items for discussion. Board member Arce made a motion to order polo shirts for each member of the Cultural Council. Board member Ramirez seconded the motion which was approved unanimously. The Board discussed the various promotional items. Board member Sanchez moved to approved a budget of $2,500 for promotional items and $2,500 for marketing and advertising. Board member Ramirez seconded the motion which was approved unanimously. Councilwoman Douglas left the meeting at 7:01 p.m. Meeting Format Discussion The Board discussed the meeting format of in-person, virtual or hybrid. Board member Arce made a motion to move to hybrid meetings. Board member Ramirez seconded the motion which was approved unanimously. 7.
