Call to Order Chair Martin called the meeting to order at 8:20 a.m. Present 6 - Board Member Nick Gonzalez, Board Member Jan Cruz, Board Member Jennifer Martin, Ronna Sanchez, Board Member Jackie Riggs-Gonzalez, and Board Member Marisol Shaw Absent 6 - Board Member Augusta Jonhart, Board Member Kelly Reyos, Board Member Linda Barr, Board Member Lupita Arce, Board Member Kristi Douglas, and Board Member Craig Hurst 2. Community Time Chair Martin led community time. 3. Approval of Minutes Min 23-273 Minutes of the Sept. 19, 2023 Meeting Board member Sanchez made a motion to approve the minutes of Sept. 19, 2023. Vice Chair Riggs-Gonzalez seconded the motion which was approved unanimously. 4. Elections - Vice President Board member Riggs-Gonzalez nominated herself as Vice Chair. The Board discussed. Board member Sanchez made a motion to approve Board member Riggs-Gonzalez as Vice Chair. Board member Shaw seconded the motion which was approved unanimously. 5. 2024 Subcommittee Structure The Board discussed the Subcommittee Structure and updated it for 2024. 6. 2024 Goals The Board developed 2024 goals. Board member Sanchez made a motion to move the November meeting to Zoom, and to cancel the December meeting. Board member Gonzalez seconded the motion which was approved unanimously. 8. Public Art Discussion Staff shared an update on Cockelbur. The Board discussed public art. 9. New Business: A. Polos / Name Tags The Board discussed polos and name tags. The Board requested staff bring back options and pricing to the November meeting. 10. Adjourn Chair Martin adjourned the meeting at 11:31 p.m. Commerce City Page 2
