Call to Order Chair Martin called the meeting to order at 6:05 p.m. Present 7 - Council Member Kristi Douglas, Mayor Pro Tem Susan Noble, Council Member Nick Gonzalez, Board Member Jan Cruz, Board Member Jennifer Martin, Board Member Ronna Sanchez, and Board Member Jackie Riggs-Gonzalez Absent 5 - Board Member Augusta Jonhart, Board Member Kelly Reyos, Board Member Linda Barr, Board Member Lupita Arce, and Board Member Marisol Shaw 2. Community Time The group participated in Community Time. 3. Approval of Minutes Min 24-017 Minutes of Nov. 21, 2023 Meeting Board member Sanchez made a motion to approve the minutes of Nov. 21, 2023. Grants & Finance Board member Sanchez provided a finance and grants update. She discussed applying for grant funding from SCFD and QCF. ii. Public Art The Board discussed public art, including wrapping the traffic boxes and art near the RTD station. iii. Collaboration & Outreach The Board discussed attending outreach events and inviting the Youth Commission to be involved. iv. Volunteer Hours The Board discussed recording volunteer hours. v. Recruitment & Engagement The Board brainstormed the recruitment of new members. 6. Subcommittee Reports: i. Music in the Park Board member Sanchez made a motion to select 8 bands to send to the Cultural Council for their review to select 2024 Music in the Park performers. Board member Cruz seconded the motion which was approved unanimously. The motion passed, 6-0, with Mayor Pro Tem Noble abstaining from the vote. ii. Art Exhibitions No updates. 7. New Business No new business. 8. Old Business: i. Polos & Name Tags This item will be discussed at a future meeting. 9. Other Business None. 10.
