2. Approval of Minutes
Member Singh moved to approve the minutes, and Member Capita seconded the
motion.
Approval of minutes was unanimous with 5 Absent.

Review of Meeting Conference and Zoom Etiquette
Vice Chair Nicole Corder is absent. Neurodiversity presentation will be moved to next
month.

Until further notice, meetings will remain virtual.
5. Old Business
Discussion with Historical Society's Debra Bullock.
Member Capita offered to volunteer to see museum and view museum to incorporate
DEI.
6. New Business
Proclamation for black history month was approved by council
Proclamations March
i. Trenten has this done this already for Women’s history month
Proclamations April
i. Nicole volunteered for this last month and will need to be send this to Trenten before
mid-March. Michelle will connect with Nicole about this
Proclamations May
i. Stroke awareness month, no volunteers yet but there is urgency yet. Cinco de Mayo
and mental health awareness is in this month also.
DEI Initiatives and Survey Q2/Q3 2022
i. Will be re-administer to the commission to identify initiatives

7. Announcements
Mayor Pro-Tem Allen-Thomas made a motion for the DEI commission to draft a
budget to take to council and Member Day seconded motion.
Discussion - Commission will need to identify needs and create a budget to get these
items. We will need to get quotes for all the items and take back to council.
Vote was unanimous with 4 Absences.

Chair Spreutels-Martinez adjourned the meeting at 7:52 pm.
