Call To Order/Roll Call Called to order by Chair Spreutels-Martinez at 6:15 pm. Members Present - Secretary Bianca Gonzalez, Derene Armelin, Kelly LaRue, Chair Michelle Spreutels-Martinez (departed meeting early), Mo Albert, Phazaria Koonce, Mayor Pro-Tem Jennifer Allen-Thomas, Iona LongSoldier (arrived late) Members Absent - Anmol Singh, Vice Chair Nicole Corder, Vanina Capitane Staff Present - Cathy Blakeman 2. Approval of Minutes LaRue moved to approve Minutes, Allen-Thomas seconded. Vote - 7 ayes, 0 nays, 4 absences - Passes Minutes from April 27th, 2022 DEI Commission Meeting Attachments: Minutes - 4.27.22 3. Welcome to New Commission Member New member Derene Armelin was introduced and welcomed to the Commission. 4. Old Business Memorial Day Parade - Only Mayor Pro-Tem indicated attendance. DEI Flyers - Liaison will print flyers for distribution on Memorial Day. Adams County Pride Fest - Gonzalez-De La Rosa, LaRue, and LongSoldier will attend. Liaison to send out additional information closer to event. 5. Proclamations No proclamations for July 2022 or August 2022. Leadership Elections Neither Chair nor Vice Chair was present to preside over Leadership elections. Item pushed to June meeting. 8. Other Business In-Person/Hybrid Meetings - No vote held, Chair and Vice Chair absent. Discussion of Other Events - Powwow Tribute to the Elders (June 10-12); Senior Resource Fair (June 4th) Budget - No budget created, City Staff is working to formalize process. Commission reminded purchases can still be made without formal decision. Formal discussion scheduled for June 2022 Meeting. Photos - Commission discussed taking pictures at events and sharing out for marketing opportunities going forward. Member Koonce indicated she will not be attending June 2022 Meeting. 8.
