Call To Order Chair Hellewell called the meeting to order at 6:08 p.m. via Zoom. Present 5 - Board Member Laurel Eller, President Laura Hellewell, Board Member Melinda Larson, Board Member Catherine Brady, and Board Member Theresa Wilson Absent 2 - Board Member LaCrea Dixon, and Board Member Tonia Lopez 2. Approval of Minutes Min 22-130 Minutes of the April 26, 2022 Meeting Board member Eller made a motion to approve the minutes of the April 26, 2022 meeting. Board member Brady seconded the motion which passed unanimously. 3. New Business Grants & Scholarships Update Chair Hellewell provided an update on grants and scholarships. Staff Liaison, Ms. Penoncello, requested Board guidance on a request from a scholarship recipient to use the awarded funding for summer classes. After discussion, Board member Eller made a motion to allow for a special circumstance that would allow the recipient to use some of the funding for summer classes. Board member Larson seconded the motion which passed unanimously. Mrs. Penoncello requested Board guidance on a second request from a different scholarship recipient to defer the use of the scholarship for one year. Board member Eller made a motion to approve the request to defer the use of the scholarship for one year. Board member Brady seconded the motion which was approved unanimously. Curt Holland Memorial Golf Tournament Chair Hellewell and Board member Eller provided an update on the 2022 golf tournament. The Board discussed this year's event and challenges to overcome from last year. 4. Other Business The Board discussed logistics for the Memorial Day Parade.
