1. Call To Order
Chair Smith called the meeting to order at 6:38 p.m.
Present 8 - Commissioner Desiree Kennison, Commissioner Isabela Velasco-Zubia,
Commissioner Megan Pham, Commissioner Morgan Smith, Commissioner
Michael Kelley, Commissioner Ingrid Barnett, Commissioner René Bullock,
and Council Member Kristi Douglas
Absent 3 - Commissioner Aliyah Acevedo, Commissioner Keegan Jones, and
Commissioner Kenia Prieto
2. Challenge Question
The Commissioners discussed the challenge question.
3. Approval of Minutes
Min 22-115 Minutes of the April 21, 2022 Meeting
Commissioner Velasco-Zubia motioned to approve the minutes of the April 21,
2022 meeting. Commissioner Kennison seconded the motion. The Minutes
were unanimously approved.
Min 22-125 Minutes of the May 5, 2022 Meeting
Council Member Douglas motioned to approve the minutes of the May 5, 2022
meeting. Commissioner Pham seconded the motion. The minutes were
unanimously approved.

4. New Business
Summer Meeting Schedule
The Board discussed the summer meeting schedule. It was determined the
Commission would meet on the first Thursday of the month in both June and July.
Summer Retreat - Planning Subcommittee
Commissioner Bullock motioned to create a Summer Retreat Planning Subcommittee
consisting of Commissioners Pham and Smith. Commissioner Barnett seconded the
motion which passed unanimously.
Recruitment Subcommittee
Commissioner Pham motioned to create a Recruitment Subcommittee consisting of
Commissioners Velasco-Zubia and Kennison. Commissioner Kennison seconded the
motion which passed unanimously.
Secretary/ Time Keeper
The role was discussed amongst the Commissioners and it was determined the role
would be voted for at the next meeting.
5. Other Business
Memorial Day Parade
The Commissioners discussed logistics for the Memorial Day Parade and float ideas.
Future Volunteer Opportunities
The Commission discussed the types of volunteer opportunities they would be
interested in pursuing.
The Staff Liaison shared with the group that at this point in time an Instagram account
could not be made due to the City's communication policy.
6. Adjourn
Chair Smith adjourned the meeting at 8:01 p.m.
