1. Call To Order/Roll Call
Chair Spreutels-Martinez called the meeting to order at 5:33 pm.

Presentation given by Corona Insights on role of DEI Commission in Commerce City
DEI Needs Assessment and Community Survey.
Commission to consider creating a sub-committee to serve as contacts for Needs
Assessment.

3. DEI Winter Retreat Debrief and Next Steps
Commission discussed the 2022 Winter Retreat.
Commissioner Koonce added item to list: "Partner with Cite to ensure racial
inequalities are address in City processes".
Trenten to send survey to Commissioners. Commission to vote on Work Plan on
November 30th, 2022 meeting.

4. Open Forum
Commissioner Capitane to reach out to School District about education and advocacy
opportunities and report back.
Chair Spreutels-Martinez to invite RTD to meeting to discuss accessibility in public
transit.
Commissioner LongSoldier to give Native American Heritage Presentation to
Commission at November 30th, 2022 Meeting.
Commission discussed role of Leadership and Planning Meeting. Commission reported
out from October Leadership and Planning Meeting, which was used to plan Winter
Retreat in absence of paid facilitator. Commission agreed that this meeting is to be
used for planning and agenda setting only.
