Call To Order/Roll Call Meeting was called to order at 9:29am. The group did not meet quorum, so they decided to shift the meeting to a study session. Attendees: Bianca Gonzalez-De La Rosa, Iona Longsoldier, Ana La Scoezec Absent: Marisol Shaw, Marco Vega, Cynthia Montez, America Carbajal, Deana Hall, and Councilmembers Craig Kim and Renee Chacon. 2. Land acknowledgement/Rules of the Road Moved to regular meeting 3. Ice Breaker Skipped 4. Approval of Minutes Min 24-169 Minutes of the August 28, 2024 Meeting Moved to regular meeting 5. 2025 Work Plan/Goals & Budget America Carbajal arrived. Group discussed instituting subcommittees to increase engagement across the group. This will be discussed further at the next regular meeting. Group also discussed keeping 2025 goals the same as 2024. They brainstormed ways to use the surplus of funds from this year to be discussed further at the next regular meeting. 6. Events & Proclamations Moved to subcommittee after next regular meeting. Looked ahead at 2025 city events, and noted that PRG, Cultural Council, and Youth Commission would be good future partners. Decided not to participate in Fall Fest this year. Discussed details for Hispanic Heritage (happening the next day). Messaging out to Community Brainstormed ways to increase engagement and recruitment that will eventually move to a subcommittee. 9. DEI Lens on Policy to City Council Moving topic to a subcommittee to brainstorm 10. Old Business Group expressed frustrations from lack of city support in past and during Melissa's absence. They also discussed ways to get councilmembers involved in their work more. 11. New Business Cynthia Montez arrived.
