Call To Order/Roll Call The meeting was called to order at 11:00 a.m. 2. Approval of Minutes Hearing Officer Ablao stated that she has reviewed the meeting minutes and is approving the minutes included in this agenda. Public Hearings Pres 18-125 Retail Liquor Store Application of T&Z, LLC dba Garden Lane Liquor, 7586 Highway 2, Commerce City, CO 80022 Hearing Officer Ablao opened the public hearing. Entering their appearance: Attorney Kris Hoeltgen, Registration #8321, on behalf of the applicant Teshame Mahari, on behalf of the applicant Dehar Mahari, on behalf of the applicant Teshame Mahari was sworn in and testified that he previously owned this store for five years and sold the license to King Soopers late last year. In the five years that he held the license, he did not have any liquor violations. Mr. Mahari reviewed his proposed business plan, his policies for checking identification and disciplinary procedures for those violating liquor laws. In response to questions from the hearing officer, Mr. Mahari stated he will not be conducting tastings, nor making deliveries. Attorney Hoeltgen stated that the petitions were prefiled and the results were favorable to issuing the license. No one came forward to speak in favor or opposition to the license application, and the public hearing was closed. Commerce City Page 1 Liquor License Authority Meeting Minutes - Final March 16, 2018 Hearing Officer Ablao made the following findings: The majority of adult inhabitants of the neighborhood, signing the petition, desire the issuance of the license. The reasonable requirements of the neighborhood, for the type of license being sought, are currently not being met. The number, type and availability of liquor outlets located in, or near, the neighborhood do not preclude the issuance of the license. The applicant, at this time, is qualified to conduct the type of business proposed. The license is granted with the following conditions: Submission of an amended diagram. Satisfactory inspection of the licensed premises to ensure the diagram comports with the actual premises. Satisfactory results of any background investigation. Compliance with liquor codes, rules and regulations and municipal ordinances. 4. Adjourn The meeting adjourned at 11:20 a.m. Commerce City Page 2
