Public Hearings Pres 18-443 Application for a Tavern License for CraftPour Inc dba Pour Tap House located at 12433 E 104th Pl Hearing Officer Ablao opened the public hearing. Appearing: Jerry Wheeler, petition circulator Damion Schulte, on behalf of the applicant Mr. Schulte was sworn in and explained his concept and plan for Pour Tap House. They previously held a beer and wine license and were seeking a tavern license. Hearing Officer Ablao questioned Mr. Schulte about his best practices, ID procedures and training, and food to alcohol sales percentages. Mr. Wheeler was sworn in and testified to the petitioning procedures and results. Hearing Officer Ablao made the following findings: the application, submissions and evidence support that the adult inhabitance to desire the issuance of the license, the reasonable requirements for this license type are currently not being met, the number, type and availablilty of liquor outlets, located in or near the neighborhood do not preclude the issuance of the license, that all other statutory and ordinance requirements have been met, the issuance of the license would not restrain competition and the applicant is qualified to conduct the type of business proposed. The license is approved on the conditions of: 1) certificate of occupancy 2) satisfactory premise inspection 3) compliance with all liquor code rules, regulations and municipal ordinances 4) satisfactory background check 5) revised diagram 4. Other Business Pres 18-442 Change of Location Application of Mousa Liquor LLC dba Mousa Wine and Spirits located at 6344 Ivy St Appearing: Fadi Sawaged, on behalf of the applicant Attorney Kris Hoeltgen, Registration #8221, on behalf of the applicant Mr. Sawaged was sworn in and testified to his plan to move the location of the liquor store to a neighboring building. Hearing Officer Ablao stated that the needs and desires will be waived and allowed the public hearing of proceed. Hearing Officer Ablao opened the public hearing. Mr. Sawaged explained his concept and plan, his experience in the liquor store business and the history of the neighborhood. Hearing Officer Ablao asked Mr. Sawaged about distances between schools and other liquor stores. Hearing Officer Ablao asked for a resubmission of the licensed premise diagram. Hearing Officer Ablao made the following findings: needs and desired are waived, the location does not conflict with the city's zoning ordinances or distance restrictions. Change of location is approved on the conditions of c.o. issuance, satisfactory inspection of the premises, compliance with all state liquor codes, rules, regulations and municipal ordinances.
