Call To Order The hearing officer called the meeting to order. 2. Approval of Minutes Min 19-114 Minutes of June 4, 2019 The hearing officer approved the minutes. 3. Public Hearings Pres 19-398 Application for Hotel/Restaurant License at Little Pub #31 dba State House, located at 15591 E 104th Ave Appearing: Brian Swann #51394, on behalf of the city Kevin Coates #25995, on behalf of the applicant Mark Berzins, on behalf of the applicant Max Scott, petition cirulator Attorney Coates made an offer of proof regarding the history of the store, ownership, background results, trainings, control of liquor and the overall operation. Mr. Berzins was sworn and testified The hearing officer asked Berzins about the anticipated opening date, hours of operation, menu, food to alcohol sales, ID policy, occupancy and store layout. Attorney Swann questioned Berzins about community involvement and outreach.Berzins spoke on community causes the business is involved in. Attorney Swann questioned Berzins about ID & training procedures. Mr. Scott was sworn and testified regarding the petition results, residential vs commercial areas surveyed and the overall need of the license in the neighborhood boundary. Attorney Swann made closing statements. Mr. Coates made closing statements. The hearing officer approved the granting of the license conditioned on obtaining a certificate of occupancy, inspection by all applicable city departments and continued compliance with the Liquor Code, rules, regulations and municipal ordinances.
