Call To Order The Hearing Officer called the meeting to order. 2. Approval of Minutes Meeting Minutes for April 26, 2021 Meeting minutes approved by the Hearing Officer. 3. Public Hearings New Hotel/Restaurant Application for Gutierrez Family Corporation dba Mama's Cafe at 6025 Parkway Dr #160 Fernando Gutierrez-applicant Carl Ream #19397-on behalf of the applicant The Hearing Officer continued the meeting to June 28, due to need for an interpreter. New Fermented Malt Beverage Application for TA Operating LLC dba Travel Centers of America at 5101 Quebec St Brian Swann #51394-on behalf of the City Adena Santiago -on behalf of the applicant Carol Johnson-petitioner Larry Burdett-manager Santiago made opening statements regarding the business, its history and its general operation. Johnson reviewed the petition results, feedback and methodology. The Hearing Officer asked Burdett about his experience in the liquor industry. Burdett replied with his experience, as well as the company's training modules and anticipated number of employees. Santiago clarified a comment about the most recent license held at the proposed location. Commerce City Page 1 Liquor License Authority Action Summary May 24, 2021 Burdett spoke more about his management experience, his knowledge on ID checking, liquor violation protocol, store hours and sales hours throughout the year. Santiago then spoke about the coolers, storage and the applicant's past violations Swann asked the applicant questions about employee trainings, handbooks and manuals. Santiago clarified a point about local law and trainings. Santiago made closing statements. Swann made closing statements. The Hearing Officer closed the public hearing and noted that the preliminary findings are available in the secretary's file, that the police department memo has been put on the record, that the petition results have been reviewed and spoke to applicant's knowledge on training and ID checking. The Hearing Officer granted the application, recommending TIPS certification for employees be submitted to the Clerk's Office within 90 days. 4. Adjourn The Hearing Officer adjourned the meeting.
