Call To Order/Roll Call Meeting called to order at 6:02 p.m. Attendees: Dana Bond, Brendan Binns, Jadie Carson, Steve Douglas, Bruce Emery, Aaron Franek, Brent Loomis, Justin Maillet, Bret Walker, Jacob Wilson Staff Members Present: Carolyn Keith, Karen O'Donnell, Mike Brown, Amy Hendricks 2. Approval of Minutes A motion was made by Member Emery, seconded by Member Loomis to approve the June 20, 2017 minutes as submitted. VOTE: Unanimous. The motion passed. Let the record show Member Steve Douglas joined the meeting at 6:03 p.m. A motion was made by Member Loomis, seconded by Member Emery to approve the July 18, 2017 minutes as submitted. VOTE: Unanimous. The motion passed. Let the record show Co-chair Bret Walker joined the meeting at 6:05 p.m. 3. Unfinished Business 16-57 New & Existing Recreation Centers (Facility Naming Process) Attachments: ORIGINAL PRESENTATION 10-18-16 YOUR HUB ARTICLE - NAMING CONTEST Director Carolyn Keith shared that there is City Council support for the proposed facility names (Bison Ridge and Eagle Pointe). This Administrative Business was continued 17-20 Recreation Center Facility Fees/Charges Attachments: PARKS RECREATION AND GOLF FEES Director Carolyn Keith let the group know that this item has been scheduled to be discussed, and for follow-up information to be provided, at the budget retreat on 8/28 at 3:00 p.m. City Council has asked for additional information and options. There was discussion about whether additional information needs to be brought forward to City Council relating to the recommended fees and charges from the PRG Advisory Committee. New Business 17-70 Parks and Trails Overview Mr. Brown gave an overview of the Prairieways Action Plan and the various trail connections. He discussed future plans to build and connect trails in the northern range and the proposed timelines (see presentation). Mr. Brown also discussed the 2017 Parks Levels of Service in the parks, trails, and building grounds. This Administrative Business was continued 5. Committee Member Reports & Information Members shared general information and updates. A few members suggested hearing presentations at future meetings regarding fees for shelter rentals and programs offered through the Professional Disc Golf Association. Staff has confirmed that a report on maintenance/repair activities will be presented to the group at the September 2017 meeting 6.
