1. Call To Order/Roll Call
Meeting called to order at 6:00 p.m.
Attendees: Dana Bond, Brendan Binns, Steve Douglas, Bruce Emery, Justin Maillet,
Adam Venanzi, Bret Walker, Jacob Wilson
Absent: Crystal Elliott, Brent Loomis
Staff present: Carolyn Keith, Karen O'Donnell, Amy Hendricks

2. Approval of Minutes
A motion was made by Member Douglas, seconded by Member Wilson to approve the
March 20, 2018 minutes as submitted. VOTE: Unanimous. The motion passed.
A motion was made by Member Douglas, seconded by Member Wilson to approve the
April 17, 2018 minutes as submitted. VOTE: Unanimous. The motion passed.

3. Unfinished Business
18-09 2018 Meeting Topic Discussion
Based upon the survey results, the following meeting topics will be included on the
remaining 2018 meeting agendas:
• PRG Collaborative Relationships and Community Partners
• Capital Improvement Project 5-year Plan
• Service Sustainability Model
• Recreation Division Programs and Services

Members were reminded about the grand opening event on May 25, 2018.

18-36 Recreation Facility Programming/Hours of Operations Survey
Attachments: Program Survey Results
The survey is now active on-line, and the public will be able to take the survey via iPad
at the grand opening event.
This Administrative Business was continued
18-37 School District 27J 4-Day School Week
On May 14, 2018, City Council authorized staff to offer programming opportunities
similar to the summer camp programs on the Mondays that school is not in session.
Commerce City’s program can accommodate up to 80 kids at the Bison Ridge
Recreation Center. The City of Brighton, the Boys and Girls Club, and Reunion are all
offering programs as well. Commerce City residents will be given enrollment
preference, and there will be scholarship opportunities available.

18-43 Eagle Pointe Room Names
Staff proposed using Colorado river names as the conference room names at the
Eagle Pointe Recreation Center. Committee members suggested using names that
are in closer proximity to the metro area including South Platte, Big Thompson,
Poudre, and Clear Creek.

Members shared general information and updates.
