Call To Order / Roll Call / Pledge of Allegiance - 6:00 PM Meeting was called to order at 6:11 pm by Interim Director, Redin and Co-Chair Collins. Members Present: DeLilah Collins, Oz Flores, Bob Grandinetti, Desiree Martinelli, Shawn McDowell, Chris Niyork, Michael Stegman, Paul Welander Absent: Josh Houde, Craig Hurst, Kaitlin Nares, Susan Noble, Katie Southard Guests: Darico Collins, Melinda Flores, Jeremiah Martinelli and Sarah Niyork Staff present: Chad Redin, Paul Hebinck, Tim Duda, and Maria Jepson 2. Approval of Minutes A motion was made by Member Stegman seconded by Member Martinelli to approve the September 19, 2023, minutes as submitted. VOTE: Unanimous. The motion passed. New Business 23-267 Discussion - Move January Meeting to January 23 for PRG Masterplan Findings Meeting - Chad Redin A motion was made by Member Martinelli seconded by Member McDowell to move the January 16, 2024 meeting to January 23, 2024 to be able to review the PRG Masterplan Findings at the January meeting. VOTE: Unanimous. The motion passed. 23-268 Golf Course Clubhouse Remodel Presentation - Paul Hebinck Golf Course Manager Hebinck shared some visual aids to show the internal, external and second level changes that have been outlined in the design phase while Commerce City Page 1 Parks, Recreation, and Golf Meeting Minutes - Final December 5, 2023 Advisory Committee discussing each area in greater detail with the group. There will be a public information campaign rolled out in 2024 to keep the community aware of the timeline and project overview. Staff retention is a priority during the closure as well. 23-269 Triathlon Recap - Tim Duda Attachments: 2023 Triathlon Recap Presentation Recreation Manager Duda reviewed the activities from the city’s inaugural triathlon on October 12, 2023 noting the efforts from the set-up, the staff and volunteers that worked it and the 113 participants ranging in age from 12 to 72 years old – with one that came all the way from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This was a considerable undertaking with less than nine months from inception to reality. It is planned to take place again in 2024 with the date still to be determined. 23-270 2024 Special Event Calendar Presentation - Tim Duda Recreation Manager Duda outlined the various Parks, Recreation and Golf department events that are proposed and being planned for 2024. These include a mix of our anchor events as well as some new ones that are in the works. 4. Committee Member Reports & Information Members and staff that were in attendance did introductions and welcomed Bob Grandinetti as a newly appointed member of the PRGAC. Member Martinelli requested that some long sleeve apparel items for the committee be considered as the polo shirts are nice but somewhat seasonally limited. 5.
