Call To Order/Roll Call/Pledge of Allegiance - 6:00 PM Meeting was called to order at 6:03 pm by Member Martinelli. Members Present: Charles Dukes, Oz Flores, Bob Grandinetti, Desiree Martinelli, Shawn McDowell, Chris Niyork, Michael Stegman, Rocky Teter and Paul Welander Absent: DeLilah Collins, Josh Houde, Katie Southard Guests: Mary Hogan Chan, Rick Dulaine, Dan Galambos, Jack Hess, Lori Jones, Tara Lyn, Nohra Medina, James Rowe, Teresa Penbrooke, Bill Neumann and Rich Neumann Staff present: Chad Redin, Paul Hebinck, Tim Duda, Traci Ferguson, Lisa Nordholt and Marina Andalon 2. Public Communication None 3. Approval of Minutes A motion was made by Member Stegman seconded by Member Grandinetti to approve the December 5, 2023, minutes as submitted. VOTE: Unanimous. Unfinished Business 24-025 PRG Master Plan Findings - BerryDunn/Theresa Penbrook Teresa Penbrooke with BerryDunn reviewed the Play Now Build Our Future Master Plan Finding and Visioning presentation with the group. She shared details of the data and Commerce City Page 1 Parks, Recreation, and Golf Meeting Minutes - Final January 23, 2024 Advisory Committee input that has been collected from the various community engagement activities, focus group meetings, online or social media interaction as well as accessible external data/GIS reporting sources since beginning this undertaking last summer. She outlined an overview of facilities/amenities available presently, the areas of interest, opportunity or concern including walkable access, trail and transportation components and future program/operation/partnership implementations being recommended. The draft master plan will be shared in April and the final master plan is scheduled to be presented to City Council in May/June 2024. 5. New Business 24-026 2024 Budget Adoption - Chad Redin Attachments: 2024 PRG Advisory Committee Budget Tabled to February 20, 2024 meeting. 24-027 2024 Work Plan Review - Chad Redin Attachments: 2024 PRG Advisory Committee Workplan Continued to February 20, 2024 meeting. 24-028 Oasis Park Naming - Chad Redin Attachments: Oasis Park Naming Council Policy #CP7-Facility Naming Naming Options Continued to February 20, 2024 meeting. Director Redin indicated that the naming suggestions are being compiled and will be brought to the PRG Advisory Committee members to determine the final recommendation that will be submitted to the City Council. 24-029 PRG Advisory Committee T-shirts - Chad Redin Tabled to February 20, 2024 meeting. 6. Community Engagement Updates No new updates at this time. 7. Council Member Reports & Information Member Teter shared that as a new/returning member he is still within the reintroduction period for all of the various engagements his role brings and looks forward to the term ahead. Member Dukes mentioned the upcoming selection for additional new members as well as some info for an upcoming collaboration with KSE and UC that is a new and exciting undertaking. Committee Member Reports & Information Committee members and staff that were in attendance did introductions and welcomed guests as well as Rocky Teter and Charles Dukes as newly appointed members of the PRGAC. Member Grandinetti shared some upcoming programs/training being offered within the Youth Commission this fall after their summer hiatus. 9.
