Call To Order/Roll Call Present: Teri Smith, Jennifer Prather, Preston Martinez, Brendan Binns, Billy Gurr Absent: Sheryl Carstens, Valerie Medina, Jim Kummerow 2. Approval of Minutes This was approved 3. Financial Report 4. Beer and Wine Tasting Fundraiser a. Status as of 7.13.2017 i. Theme of the Wine Tasting will be “Old World Wines” • Wines will be from France, Italy and Germany/Austria. i. Colorado Micro Brewers • At this point in time the following Breweries have tentatively committed to the event. o Tommyknocker from Idaho Springs. o Odell from Fort Collins. o Great Divide from Denver. i. Leopold Brothers Distillery • Leopold is a Denver based distillery that has won many awards for their products and they have committed to the event. ii. Food for the night • Bison Grill plans on providing different appetizers that will complement the wine, beers and liquors. Chef Tim and Rob will be meeting with the providers over the next several weeks to determine what foods will be offered. They want to present a more upscale display of foods than we did last year. iii. Key Items • Bison Grill will provide linens for all the tables that evening. • A sound system will be provided for the evening that will provide background music and allow for a microphone to use for addressing the guests. • Each of the providers will be asked to speak to the crowd that evening about their products. b. Teri has a few sponsorship potential ideas c. Jennifer has a sponsor idea and has secured a few silent auctions d. Daniela and Teri will work together to put a sponsorship ask together e. Billy has a contact to a wine tasting group that we can send an invitation to f. All board members have committed to doing sponsorship asks and silent auction item asks 5. Other Business Commerce City Page 1 Quality Community Foundation Meeting Minutes July 18, 2017 a. QCF will sponsor dinner for Adams County Elected Officials hosted by Commerce City b.
