Call to Order Chair Hellewell called the meeting to order at 6:36 p.m. Board member Dixon was unexcused from this meeting. Present 6 - Board Member Braden Hellewell, Board Member Heather Marr, Board Member Laurel Eller, Board Member Melinda Larson, President Laura Hellewell, and Board Member Theresa Wilson Absent 1 - Board Member LaCrea Dixon 2. Approval of Minutes Min 23-025 Minutes of the Dec. 3, 2022 Meeting Chair Hellewell made a motion to approve the minutes of the Dec. 3, 2022 meeting. Board member Wilson seconded the motion which was approved unanimously. 3. Monthly Treasurer's Report Board member Wilson provided a monthly treasurer report, and shared former Councilman Davis donated $4,200 toward post-secondary education scholarships and recreation scholarships. Board member Larson requested a hand written thank you card be sent. She also shared her company will be sending a donation to match her volunteer hours with QCF. Curt Holland Scholarship Program The Board provided direction to update the name of the scholarship program to the Quality Community Foundation (QCF) Scholarship Program. Within the QCF Scholarship Program, there will be the Community Scholarship, City Council Scholarship, and Curt Holland Police Scholarships (Dependent and Employee). The Board discussed opening the program to students concurrently enrolled in high school and technical school. This item was tabled to a future year. B. Curt Holland Golf Tournament Chair Hellewell reminded the Board that the 2023 Curt Holland Memorial Golf Tournament is Aug. 25. C. Non-Profit Grants Staff Liaison, Jenny Penoncello, presented an idea for the 2023 grant workshops. It was determined the workshops would be hosted on Feb. 7 and Feb. 9. The Board reviewed the new application and provided edits. D. Recreation Scholarship Program Chair Hellewell provided an update on the 80's Prom with Parks, Recreation and Golf. The Board discussed different ideas. 5. New Business: A. By-Law Updates Staff Liaison, Jenny Penoncello, shared the by-laws are still being reviewed. 6. Other Business The Board briefly discussed upcoming grant opportunities. Staff Liaison, Jenny Penoncello, reminded the Board that the next community night will be held at Chipotle on Feb. 13 from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. 7.
