All members were present: Lindy Larson, Stephanie Levi, Theresa Wilson, Kayla Burby, and Sarai Thomas. 2. Approval of Minutes Min 24-086 Minutes of the April 23, 2024 Meeting Kayla motioned to approve the April meeting minutes. Stephanie seconded the motion, which was approved unanimously. 3. Treasurer's Report Theresa to send next week. Golf payments are coming in. 4. Subcommittee Reports A. Scholarship Program i. Recipient Question Scholarship recipient is attending a one year program instead of a four year program. Grant scholarship recipient $1,000/year of schooling (if additional certificates are pursued beyond the 1 year). Scholarship recipient received a full scholarship elsewhere for first year. If QCF can write first year check directly to school, then student can use those funds as a credit on their account. Otherwise, the $1,000 will be deducted from their award amount. B. Silent Auction Discussion about silent auction responsibilities between Laurel, staff, and other supports. ii. Sponsors Staff to reach out to Laurel and AJ to see what sponsors have not been reached out to yet. 5. New Business Keep eye out for Kroenke grant opportunity (due Labor Day last year). Use last year's application content, and ask for full award amount. 6. Old Business A. Recruitment Brainstorm No new member interest. Next application cycle due July 5th. Recruit by sending flyer virtually on different platforms. Staff to create tabling sign up. Stephanie to give a shout out at the next Chamber meeting. 7. Other Business A. Summer meeting schedule Lindy Larson and Stephanie Levi both resigned, which drops the group below the required quorum to meet. Theresa motioned to make Kayla Burby Interim Chair and Sarai Thomas Interim Vice Chair. The motion was seconded by Lindy, which was approved unanimously. The group will meet next once we have new members, hopefully in August. Staff will keep the group posted on developments. 8. Adjourn Meeting was adjourned at 7:27pm. Commerce City Page 2
