Call To Order/Roll Call Meeting was called to order at 3:05 p.m. Present: Bruce Reilly, Carole Harvell, Councilwoman Jennifer Allen-Thomas, Jennie Loveridge, Carol Taylor-Boyd, Tina Ledesma, Carli Plummer, Mary K Natho, Tillie Villareal, George Maxey Absent: Gabriela Adeshewo, Councilwoman Susan Noble 2. Approval of Minutes Minutes of July 8, 2021 Attachments: 07/08/21 Councilwoman Allen-Thomas asked to edit minutes to include invitation by Councilwoman Noble to the Conter Estates to meet with residents on Saturday, July 10 at 1 p.m. Motion to approve with said edit by commissioner Maxey. Seconded by commissioner Villareal. Motion was approved. 3. Regular Business a. Online Resource Page Members reviewed the new senior resource page. Members volunteered to review the resources listed under each of the categories. 4. Other Business a. Conter Estates Field Trip Report Members who visited the conter estates gave a brief report on their visit. A motion was made to prioritize senior housing in the city and ensure it meets expectation of a quality community for a lifetime. Motion to approve by commissioner Taylor-Boyd. Seconded by commissioner Villareal. Motion was approved unanimously. b. Council agenda topics of interest Starting August 16, Commerce City will require masks indoors in all city facilities. New businesses coming to Commerce City. New Environmental Policy Advisory Committee (EPAC) accepting member applications. Officer Elections in September regular commission meeting. d. Adams 14 Resource Fair Commissioners who attended gave a brief report on the event. Commissioner Plummer suggested that the commission should host their very own. Discussion will continue into September regular meeting. 5. Upcoming events/announcements Next meeting, September 9. 6.
